Off-Road Folks: Here's Your Way Into the Drawing for a Toyota Pickup and a Pit Bike

Trails, ranches or backyards, here is how OVRLND's 1986 Toyota pickup and pit bike giveaway could fit, and how to enter. Closes December 3.

If your weekends involve gravel, fence lines or a patch of dirt out back, this giveaway was made for your daydreams. OVRLND is giving one winner a restored 1986 Toyota pickup, a pit bike and a cash award. Here is how it might fit three kinds of outdoor life, and exactly how to get into the drawing.

A note before we start. The daydreams are ours. Everything about the prize comes from the Official Rules and the giveaway page.

For the trail crowdFour-wheel drive and tread

The giveaway page lists four-wheel drive, an automatic transmission and a serviced powertrain on the truck. Add a roll bar, lights for off-road use and Mickey Thompson tires at 31 inches, and the page reads like a trail checklist.

For the ranch and open-land crowdA truck with a lined bed

The bed has a color-matched spray-in bedliner. The cab has factory air conditioning and factory power steering. Both are on the giveaway page.

For the backyard crowdA bike you can picture in the shed

Not everyone has a trail out the door. The Buscadero BSX 140 is described on the page as compact and easy to transport, with a 140cc engine, a four-speed manual gearbox and electric start. Local rules for the prize vehicle are covered below.

For the gear-mindedLights, bars and finishes

Gloss-black powder-coated bumpers, a roll bar and off-road lighting are all on the list. Underneath, the frame got a full strip and refinish, with new chassis hardware. The page describes how the truck looks and what it has. It does not promise anything about how it performs.

The pair, together

The truck and the bike are one prize, and photos on the giveaway page show them together. On the truck side, that means a restored 1986 Toyota XtraCab SR5 4WD with its original fuel-injected 22R-E under the hood.

A few things to know before you daydream too far

The rules are plain about responsibilities. Per the rules, the prize vehicle is "AS IS," and the Sponsor gives no warranty of any kind. Some states, counties or municipalities have safety or emissions testing the vehicle may not meet, so the winner has to look up the local requirements before accepting. Registration and licensing costs are the winner's, along with taxes and any other costs of accepting or using the prize.

Cash is part of the Grand Prize too: $15,000. For the full package, the rules state an ARV of $94,000. Read the Official Rules for the complete list.
