A giveaway has a calendar, and the calendar is what decides who gets in. OVRLND's 1986 Toyota pickup and pit bike giveaway runs from September 18 to December 3, with a few more dates after that. Here they are in order, straight from the Official Rules.

September 18, 2026The entry period opens

The Official Rules start the Sweepstakes Period at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time on September 18, 2026. The Sponsor's database computer is the official time-keeper, so ET is the clock that counts.

September 18 through December 3The window

Between those two dates, active OVRLND members are entered automatically. Anyone can also enter free by mail. Nothing has to be bought to enter, and a purchase will not improve the chances of winning.

December 3, 2026The last day, 11:59:59 p.m. ET

This is the deadline that matters most. Entries close at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on December 3, and the close date itself still counts. It is also the postmark date for mail-in entries: a card needs a postmark dated December 3 or earlier.

December 8, 2026Mail-ins must arrive

A mailed card has two clocks. The postmark deadline is December 3, and the card must be received by December 8. Each mail-in entry received is worth 100 entries, and the rules ask for one card per envelope, mailed individually, with proper postage.

December 9, 2026 or thereaboutsThe drawing

The Grand Prize drawing is conducted by the Administrator, American Sweepstakes & Promotion Co., Inc., on or about December 9, 2026. It is a random drawing, and the odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The rules do not give a separate winner-announcement date, so none is listed here.

The potential winner is contacted by phone, email and/or mail. The rules attach short deadlines to that step. The winner must respond within three business days of the first notification attempt, and must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity within seven days of the date notice is sent. The Official Rules spell out what happens if either clock runs out.

January 20, 2027The winners list request

Anyone who wants to confirm the winner's first name, last initial, city and state can send a self-addressed, stamped business-size envelope. The request must be sent by January 20, 2027, and the rules give a Rochester, New York address for it.

What is waiting at the end of the calendar

The Grand Prize is a restored 1986 Toyota Pickup XtraCab SR5 4WD, a Buscadero BSX 140 pit bike and a $15,000 cash award. The rules put the Approximate Retail Value at $94,000. The truck is awarded "AS IS," and the winner is responsible for registration, licensing and taxes, among other costs the rules list.

Anyone can enter for free. Mail a hand-printed 3" x 5" card as described in the Official Rules. Each mail-in entry received is worth 100 entries. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by December 3, 2026 and received by December 8, 2026.

Paying never improves your odds. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning, and odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.
