Truck and Pit Bike, One Winner: Inside OVRLND's '86 Toyota Giveaway

A frame-off restored 1986 Toyota 4WD and a Buscadero BSX 140 pit bike go to the same winner. Entries close December 3.

Two machines, one Grand Prize: the restored Toyota and the Buscadero BSX 140.

One machine is the hauler. The other is the toy you bring along for the dirt. OVRLND's current giveaway puts both in a single Grand Prize: a frame-off restored 1986 Toyota Pickup XtraCab SR5 4WD and a Buscadero BSX 140 pit bike, plus a cash award.

Here is a look at each half of the pair, and how they fit together.

The haulerFour-wheel drive and a lined bed

The truck brings four-wheel drive, an automatic transmission and the serviced original 22R-E with fuel injection. Out back, a color-matched spray-in bedliner covers the bed. Up top, a roll bar carries the off-road lighting.

The toy140cc with retro-inspired styling

The BSX 140 runs a 140cc engine through a four-speed manual transmission with a manual clutch. It has electric start, front and rear disc brakes and upgraded suspension. The giveaway page sums up its look as retro-inspired styling.

Packing upCompact by design

The giveaway page describes the pit bike as having a compact, easy-to-transport design. Put that next to a pickup with a lined bed, and the pairing makes sense on paper. Getting the bike loaded is up to you.

The budgetAnd a cash award

The Grand Prize also includes a $15,000 cash award. How it gets used is up to the winner. Keep in mind the winner is responsible for all taxes on the prize, and the value of the full package is reported on an IRS Form 1099.

Truck specWhat's under the stripes

Behind the paint job is a full frame-off restoration. The body came off, the frame was stripped and refinished along its whole length, and the outside got three stages of Factory White. Inside, the brown and tan cab has new upholstery, carpet and headliner, and the restored dash now holds an Apple CarPlay head unit. Factory A/C and factory power steering are still there.

RubberTwo sets of tires, two jobs

The truck sits on 31-inch Mickey Thompson tires mounted on black-and-chrome wheels. Ride height is factory stock-style, and both bumpers are powder-coated in gloss black. The pit bike pairs its own wheels with front and rear disc brakes and upgraded suspension.
